A garden gate should reflect and convey the philosophy and purpose of the garden. Openness can be
conveyed by pickets or wrought iron, Aluminum or a Combination as we offer on our Privacy Section. If
the desire is for privacy or to give an air of mystery, make sure the gate is solid and this can be from an
array of choices of Metal, Plexiglass and now metal slats that resemble wood with a large selecton of
grain to choose from. Gates can blend in quietly or make a bold statement and some of our design reflect
that.

If you choose to take the purely functional route, gates are available  to fit and match the specific fence
you have. If you'd rather have a work of art, the possibilities are almost endless and we offer one of the

we built our Gates. A standard gate is 4' - 6' tall and 32" - 36" wide. It should be wide enough for access
for equipment such as wheelbarrows, mowers or tractors and the movement of materials. Also consider
whether the garden should be accessible to wheelchairs, if the gate needs to be more than five feet wide,
install a two-piece gate that latches in the middle would probably be a good idea because it would be
uncomfortable to swing such a large gate, don't de worry about sagging because our gates will not sag.
