|Linear AM-PR Proximity Reader
• Works with both proximity tags and proximity cards.
• Compatible with all Wiegand formats up to 40 bits.
• Weather resistant and vandal resistant.
• 4 to 6 inch read range.
• Supports up to 65,000 cards.
• Easy to install.
• Integral LED confirms when user access is granted.
For adding proximity sensing to any access control system, Linear offers the AM-PR Proximity Reader. This
close-range radio-based reader works with either proximity tags (Model AM-PT) or proximity cards (Model
AM-PC), both of which are slotted to attach to key rings. Upon reading a
user’s tag or card, it transmits the entry data via a Wiegand output in virtually any format up to 40 bits.An
integral LED confirms to the user that access is granted. The AM-PR is rugged, rated for use in extreme
weather, and vandal resistant. Installation is easy — it mounts with two screws to a mullion, masonry wall,
post, or nearly any surface. The unit requires 5 to 7 conductor 20 gauge shielded cable, a maximum of 500
feet.Power is supplied by the system controller

|Linear AM-CRI Card Reader
The AM-CRI card reader interface is designed for use with Linear's access control systems. The interface
will support one or two 26-bit or 31-bit Wiegand input devices.
If the readers used have a hold or buffer connection, two readers may be used to the AM-CRI. If the readers
do not have a hold or buffer connection, one reader may be used with the AM-CRI.
Usually mounted near the readers, the AM-CRI interface connects to the control unit through a PBUS cable.
Each reader connects to the AM-CRI through a six-wire (one LED in reader) or seven wire (two LEDs in

To use AM-SR swipe card readers or a variety of other Wiegand devices in a Linear access control system,
AM-CRI card reader interface is required. It will support up to two 26 or 31-bit Wiegand input devices from
manufacturer, permitting easy interconnection of card readers, proximity readers, or other devices that use
industry standard. The AM-CRI interface mounts near the readers and connects to the system controller
through a six-wire cable. Power is supplied to the interface and the reader or readers from the controller or
an external source for locally powered readers.
|Linear AM-RPR Remote Proximity Receiver
The Model AM-RPR Remote Proximity Receiver is designed for use with Linear access control
systems. The AM-RPR functions as a remote device that supplies localized radio reception.
In a typical installation, the AM-RPR would be mounted in a plastic single-gang electrical box
next to the controlled opening. When the user requires access, their transmitter must be
activated within three inches of the AM-RPR faceplate. The ultra-short range of the AM-RPR
allows placement of a unit by each controlled opening without the possibility of the transmitter
being detected by the wrong receiver.
A two-color indicator on the AM-RPR faceplate displays the receiver's status. The indicator
lights red when the receiver is getting DC power from the system and turns green when
access is granted to a transmitter.
