A complete turn-key Access Management System that enables you to program and maintain your Access Control System online
24/7 – from wherever or whenever you want. This systems contains up to 3000 phone numbers. Best suited for applications
requiring control of a single door or gate and in applications where card readers or other expansion options are not required.
The Model 1834 is an ideal telephone entry system suited for apartment and gated community applications as well as office
buildings and industrial sites that have a separate access control system, or require telephone entry only. Each 1830 Series unit
allows Voice and Data connection over either Cellular, VoIP, Wireless, or POTS. DKS offers easy ways to connect fast using the
DKS IM Server and DKS Cellular services. The single-line LCD display features big 1/2-inch characters for easy viewing and your
personalized message scrolls across the screen from right to left when the system is not in use. Our unique "One Touch" CALL
button and big A and Z scroll buttons makes this system one of the easiest to use on the market today! For additional security, the
1834 allows you to monitor activity AS IT HAPPENS on your computer display.

  • The 1834 Telephone Entry System can be connected for voice and programming by any of these methods:
  • Cellular 4G-LTE service (note 1) - VoIP (note 2) - POTS - Plain Old Telephone Service (note 3)

  • Note 1: Requires DKS Cellular subscription and 1800-080 cellular adapter.  4G-LTE service provided by AT&T where available.
  • Note 2: Requires 1830-185 (manual setup) or 1830-186 (automatic setup) TCP/IP Adapter for internet connection.  1830-186
    requires IM SERVER Client subscription.  VoIP requires 1815-568 VoIP adapter and subscription, or use your own provider
    subscription & hardware.
  • Note 3: Programming and voice via the telephone line and modem and phone connection at your PC, or program via your

DoorKing’s 1830 Series (1833, 1834, 1835, 1837, 1838) and Access Plus Series (1802AP, 1808AP, 1810AP, 1812AP, 1838AP) offer
several methods of connection for both voice and programming. The DKS Standard Series of entry systems (1802, 1803, 1808,
1810, 1812) offer voice only communication via a Cellular option, a VoIP option or the traditional POTS (Plain Old Telephone
Service).

From the very basic POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) to VoIP and Cellular, DKS systems are engineered to present the best
connection options available today. DoorKing’s 1830 Series(1833, 1834, 1835, 1837, 1838) and Access Plus series (1802-AP, 1808-
AP, 1810-AP, 1812-AP, 1838-AP) offer several methods of connection for both voice and programming. The DKS Standard Series of
entry systems (1802, 1803, 1808, 1810, 1812) offer voice only communication via a Cellular option, a VoIP option or the traditional
POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service).  See explanations of each connection option below.
Doorking 1834 is an ideal telephone entry system that is suited for large applications that have a separate access control
system, or in applications that require telephone entry access only. Visitors are easily identified by voice communication
(a CCTV camera option provides visual ID as well*) and can be granted or denied access directly from a touch-tone
telephone.

Land Line Telephone Entry System
DKS IM Server Modem™
  • Land Line for Data Transfer
  • Utilizes the POTS copper line connected to the telephone entry system to provide data  transfer to the DKS telephone entry /
    access control system via the internet connection at programming computer.
  • Voice communication is provided over the POTS line. This service is useful if your programming PC does not have a modem, or if
    your modem cannot communicate with the entry system modem.*
  • Compatible with DKS 1830  and Access Plus series telephone entry systems only.
  • Monthly fees depend on the number of residents in the system database.
  • DoorKing maintains the right to determine excessive usage (data transfers) at any time and may require you to reduce your
    usage (data transfers). Failure to comply may result in service termination.
  • Requires a POTS copper line at the entry system. User is responsible for all phone company charges including local and long
    distance charges, taxes and other fees for this line.
  • * DoorKing does not recommend using a POTS line for programming.  DoorKing can no longer guarantee modem connections as
    some phone company services and switches no longer support modem communications since these devices are considered to
    be obsolete technology. The telephone line must support G.711 level service for the modem to work. Modem communications
    will not work over cellular or VoIP connections.
  • Note 1.  Not applicable if Cable or Fiber is a cloud based telephone service.
