Linear AE-500 Telephone Entry System
The Model AE-500 Commercial Telephone Entry System - Two Doors is
designed for use as a primary access control device for gated
communities, parking garages, office buildings, apartments, dormitories,
hotels/motels, commercial buildings and recreational facilities with up to
250 residents or users. The system can be programmed locally using the
keypad, remotely with a touch tone telephone, or remotely using a
computer equipped with a modem and a web browser. The system utilizes
hands-free, full duplex telephone communications between visitors and
residents for granting access

Linear AE-500 Telephone Entry System
The guiding principle behind Linear’s AE-500 is that a telephone entry system should be a model of simplicity. Easy to
specify. Easy to install. Easy to configure. And above all, easy to use. A close examination of every aspect of this system
reveals that ease is an across-the-board attribute.

That makes the AE-500 desirable for installations with as few as 25 users or as many as 250. Multi-tenant sites like  gated
communities, apartments, condominiums, and dormitories can all benefit from its simplicity and its expansive capabilities.

The AE-500 provides control for a single gate or a door, two gates, two doors, or a gate and a door. It includes a built-in
radio for adding remote control via user transmitters, a function enhanced by the fact that Linear is also a leader in RF
technology and offers the industry’s widest range of transmitter styles. No matter what size your telephone entry
requirements run, it is likely that Linear can supply a system. With many years in the field, we have assembled a family of
products to address nearly every need. By every meaningful measure, Linear makes telephone entry easy.

ROBUST MEMORY, VIVID DISPLAY, RADIO, MODEM — THE COMPLETE PACKAGE.
There is nothing incremental about the AE-500. For a simple system, it comes fully equipped for your telephone entry
application. It has ample non-volatile memory for up to 250 users, which means that even if you start with 25 users, you
won't need to keep adding more memory blocks (at greater expense) as your needs grow. That memory stores up to 250
directory codes, 500 block-coded Mega-Code transmitters, and 500 entry codes. An entry code can be programmed  for
unlimited use or as a temporary code for up to 250 activations. The latter type is ideal for contractors and other short-term
system users. An especially high visibility component is a 2 line by 16 character transflective backlit LCD that brightly
displays the system’s user  directory, as well as a helpful series of user prompts. A built-in radio offers additional entry
capabilities via wireless transmitter control. An integral modem greatly simplifies programming.
